Welcome to Logically Absur~d, an independent research sandbox and editorial blog dedicated to tracking, analyzing, and satirizing the unexpected correlations between anything and everything. Usually, we sit at the intersection of data science, cultural anthropology, and late-stage economic irony.

Our inquiries start from serendipitous observations that turned into bubbling questions, followed by a Google search and a rabbit hole. Oh how much I love a good rabbit hole.

The Core Premise

In statistics, a spurious correlation is a mathematical relationship in which two variables are associated but not causally related. They are usually dismissed as coincidences, statistical noise, or the result of a lurking third variable.

At Spurious Lab, we believe these "spurious" connections are the most honest mirrors of our society.

Our mission is to inquire into the unexpected correlations that define our times, exposing the underlying logic behind behaviors that seem, on the surface, logically absurd.

Lindsay is a business person in tech, oh well the boring title aside, she’s a curious researcher and observer of economic oddities, she’s that friend bringing up party topics that creates a sliver of silence followed by heated discussions.

All seriousness, with a background that spans finance, business and cultural observation, she founded Spurious Lab in 2025 as a space to document the strange ways human psychology reacts to the elements. When she isn't analyzing search trends for climbing ropes in Manhattan, she is tracking the Bellevue luxury fashion landscape for signs of the next market correction.
